Moosehead Area Worsters

 

The ancestry of many Worsters in the Moosehead region can be traced back to William Worcester, a Cambridge graduate and Vicar of Olney who came to Salisbury, Massachusetts around 1628.  A branch of the family had settled in Maine in the early 1700s.  The following lineage picks up with the first generation to settle in the Moosehead region, which is the ninth Worster generation in the New World, and carries some of the descendents to twelfth generation Americans.  Some of the sources of this information are given in the endnotes.  This compilation was done by Angus Andrews, brother-in-law to Fred Sawyer Worster.
