NUTTING HOMESTEAD

In  1795, Nathan Nutting of Groton, Massachusetts bought 130 acres and shortly thereafter, erected this home which is lived in today by descendants of Nathan Nutting.  A common term used to refer too the buildings within this structure (which can not be seen from the photograph) are called "big house, little house, back house, out house".  Nutting's  son, Nathan Junior designed and built the nearby Bell Hill Meetinghouse.  Previous pictures of the home show two large oak  trees that were destroyed during "Ice Storm 1998".
