I have a Paris Manufacturing Co. Childs wheelbarrel . It is marked on the bottom and is painted in red yellow and green. It is marked South Paris, Me. It has a wooden wheel with a steel rim. Hi, I live in England but my grandfather was born in the USA and I am trying to trace my ancestors as far back as possible. I believe that my great great grandfather may have been called Jonathan Smith Brown, born in Paris, Oxford in 1781 and married a Sarah Richards (also born in the same town, about 1785) in approx 1806. I think they later left Maine to farm in Indiana, but the main thing I'm trying to find is the names of his parents and if possible where they were born. I've searched the Mormon church records pretty thoroughly and though they have records of him they give no details about his parents.
Any idea how I could approach this task? Any help at all would be most appreciated. Regards,
