This Regiment was
organized on April 28, 1861, to serve for 3 months, and mustered at
Portland on May 3, 1861. On June 1, 1861, the Regiment left
for Washington, DC, where it camped out on Meridian Hill.
Where it remained in the performance of necessary guard duty until
August 1st, when it was sent home, and mustered out at Portland on
August 5, 1861.
