I have a question about Sarah Ellen Gammon. She was my great great grandmother. Her daughter, Affie married Rishworth Pinkham and one of their sons, Philip Pinkham, was my grandfather. I have recently met cousins from the midwest who are the sons of LeRoy Pinkham, youngest son of Affie and Rishworth. LeRoy told his sons that he spent summers with his grandmother (Sarah Gammon) on an Indian reservation. My question is , Was there an Indian reservation in the area? And would there be any way to find out if Sarah Gammon was herself Native American? Thank you so much for your time. Sharon Bean Thibault

We have been doing a family tree and we are looking for anything on Adelbert Wing who was born May 1849 in Peru Maine, fathers name was Agustus Wing and his father was Reuben Wing. Would appreciate more information on my husband's ancestor, Henry Smith s/o Amos and his wife, Dolly McAllister d/o James & Tryphena McAllister. Henry came to Stoney Brook in Peru about 1839. He was b ca 1789 & d Jan. 1855 in Oxford and bur. Webber Brook Cemetery. His wife was b July 6, 1795 Rumford & d May 19, 1857 Oxford & bur. Webber Brook Cemetery. I do know that they had six children and some of them were born in Oxford, New Portland & New Vineyard. I would love to know where the family originally came from also. I’m looking for the name of the parents of William Cloutier who was married to Marie Cayer. They had a daughter Alida Cloutier who was born October 20, 1903 in P.Q Canada. They are from the Rumford area. Ida married Warren LeFebvre.. I would greatly appreciate any information on this family. Thank you. Donna
