Annual Attic & Book Sale

Dover-Foxcroft Fire Station

9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

 

Donations now being accepted - so keep us in mind as you start on your spring cleaning.  We can't accept clothing or large appliances, but what other old treasures do you have to discard or find a new home for.  Let us take them off your hand and put them to use earning some money for your local Historical Society!

 

For item pick-ups or for more information, call either Sylvia Dean (876-3663) or Sharon Phillips (564-7251).

 

And then don't forget to come to our sale and see what new treasures you can find!

Remembering Gettysburg

Center Theatre

1:00 p.m.

 

Special one time showing of the film Gettysburg.  Special exhibits, reenactors, and a chance to commemorate the 145th anniversary of the battle.  Fee.  More details will be announced later.

 

 

July 19, 2008

Special Bus tour of Old Foxcroft

10:00 a.m. - Noon

 

Lou Stevens is once again transporting us back in time.  Fee; limited seating.  Please get your tickets early!

 

 

August 2, 2008

Homecoming

 

The Observer Building Museum will be open from noon to 4 p.m. with special exhibits, reenactors, and more!

Ceremony remembering Emma B.

 

Ceremony and stone unveiling in memory of Emma B. (a/k/a Police Gazette), a Foxcroft bred racing mare and the subject of three Currier & Ives paintings.  Special exhibits.

Blacksmith Shop Musuem Activities.

 

First, the reopening of the Blacksmith Shop Museum with new exhibits.  And second, a special star party at the Museum.
