Eunice Farnsworth - Ruth Heald Cragin Chapter DAR

Each regular meeting of Eunice Farnsworth-Ruth Heald Cragin Chapter includes devotions, patriotic exercises, the President General's message and a National Defense minute.

Chapter meetings are generally held on the second Saturday of the month, March through December in Skowhegan.

Watch for meeting notice in the local newspaper.

Guests are cordially invited to attend DAR meetings.

Eunice Farnsworth-Ruth Heald Cragin Chapter serves the local area by :

  • Awarding DAR Good Citizen to a high school senior whose encouraging and rewarding qualities of good citizenship encompass Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism to an outstanding degree

  • Preserving local historical sites including the Arnold Expedition Park and the Dudley Corner Schoolhouse

  • Providing volunteer services and support to our Veterans who have "rung the Bell of Freedom" all over the world including donations of toiletries; visits to Veterans at Togus; and collecting cancelled stamps in support of Stamps For The Wounded program

  • Promoting conservation to protect and promote responsible use of our natural resources with long term, low-maintenance care at our local parks

  • Supporting DAR Schools with the collection of labels and box tops for education
