                        Ending with information re: afternoon cemetery tour

                                11:15-11:30       Walk a short distance to the Sandwich Shop (Handicapped individuals can be accommodated - please notify at time of registration.)

                               

                11:30-12:30       Lunch  at Willowbrook’s Sandwich Shop  Cost: $8.75 at registration - Tomato                                  Garden Vegetable Soup, choice of 1/2 ham sandwich OR chicken salad wrap,                                   chips, pickle, beverage, sundae (tip included). For reservations  phone 793-2784                            PRIOR to Sept. 23, 2009  (specify sandwich choice).  Be sure and leave a name and address as no-shows will be billed.

 

12:30-1:30         “A Taste of 19th Century Willowbrook” (3 rotating groups -15/20 minutes ea.)

* Abbreviated tour of the Carriage House (housing 29 restored horse drawn vehicles)

                * Abbreviated tour of Durgin Moore House built in 1813   

 
1:30->       Tour of Cemeteries -- Shirley Moriarty & Ruth Bridges Ayers

                                                               

2:00          Door Prize Drawing at the cemetery (must be present to win)

                  Shop at Willowbrook open until 5:00

19th Century Willowbrook Village is located on Elm Street, about 1/3 mile off Route 11 in Newfield, Maine.  GPS coordinates: N 43 degrees, 39.95 minutes; W 70 degrees, 50.64 minutes

 

From Portland area:  Follow Route 25 west through Gorham and Standish to Limington. At the light, turn left on Route 11 and continue through Limington and into Limerick. Follow the Route 11 signs through Limerick and continue on Route 11 to Newfield. Turn right onto Elm Street (Willowbrook signs on the corners).

 

From North of Portland:  Take I-95 south to Exit 47, Route 25. Follow Route 25 through Gorham and Standish to Limington. At the light, turn left on Route 11 and continue through Limington and into Limerick. Follow the Route 11 signs through Limerick and continue on Route 11 to Newfield. Turn right onto Elm Street (Willowbrook signs on the corners).
