Rest in Peace dear Lady. You are among the stars. You will be dearly remembered. Take care in your new home.

She will not only be missed by her nearest and dearest but by we thousands who have been helped by her outstanding devotion to the cause of genealogy. "INVISIBLE FRIEND" "I called her name in the silence - from the depths of a lonely grief....She did not speak - but a bird sang out- And my heart knew a strange relief.-I sought her face in the forest - where she walked in the days gone by....She hid from me - but I saw a birch - Green and silver against the sky. She comes like this, in the beauty - of a flower or a tree....And who am I to attempt to solve - so great a mystery?" from "The Quiet Hour" by Patience Strong.. Thank you, dear lady, thank you very much from a dedicated genealogist

I didn't know Sandra, but from the kind words from everyone, I can see that she was a special person.  I admire anyone who takes the time to make a difference in the world, which she obviously did. She now has all the answers to her questions.

We were born the same year but I know nothing else about her, that we shared a love for genealogy make us souls mates who cared for, from where we came. Future generations shall benefit from her work and share in her love for the search. Find peace that she now travels across the space between ancestors and descendants, that goes beyond where we came from into future where our line continues.
Dave Pickenpaugh

I am very new at the vast world of genealogy . In the process of getting started I have met lots of friendly , helpful, people, and although not knowing Sandy personally, it sounds like she was the best. You all have my deepest sympathy. It is good to know her family surrounded her at the last days as well as her life. May she always be with us in spirit.

I really enjoyed Sandy's input on the rootsweb. She will be sadly missed by all of the rootsweb searchers I'm sure. Her life cut short, but oh what she left behind == her knowledge that will help many, many people. I will always remember her while searching the roots web. She was a God send to me and a lot of older people who cannot travel like we did in years past. Thank God for her and her knowledge she passed on. Thank you for sharing her obituary with everyone as I know it is greatly appreciated by one and all

All I know of Sandy is what is shown on this web page and the incredible influence of rootsweb if which she was a part. I want to express my empathy to her family and all those of you who worked with her and note that now I envision her participating in a great, joyful family reunion with all of those she searched for and worked to preserve the memory of. The world is a better place because she was here.
Kathleen

To the family of Sandy. I want to give you my sympathy for Sandy was so young to leave this world. Now she is with her ancestors and I am sure she is happy.
LaVerne

Your memorial is beautiful and touching. I pray that Sandy's family is supported by comfort, love and healing during this season of grief. Plant a tree, shrub, or whatever would bring her beauty back to you year after year. A dear friend died three years ago of breast cancer. Those of us who drove her for treatment or extended any kindness were gifted with a beautiful azalea (coral) the next day and we have planted them and celebrate Betty every spring when they bloom. And those of us who share this can get together and comment upon our lovely coral azalea each spring also--a lasting memorial.
Bless you.

My Sincere condolences go out to your family during this time of great loss.
Margaret Sherman Lutzvick

I did not know Sandra but I wanted to send along my condolences to your family anyway. I know how you feel. My father died when I was just 9 years old. He was only 42. It doesn't matter how much a death is expected, it is always hard. Keep the faith. May God be with you now.
