Bingham Chapter, Order of the Easter Star, met in short form on September 14. This was the first meeting of the fall season. Associate Matron, Mrs. Leslie Durgin, presided as Worthy Matron. Mrs. Howard Owen was out of town.
Edward Rindfleisch and Carl Stewart of Ballston Spa, New York, have been spending a few days in this vicinity for fall fishing.
Miss Flora Wing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wing, has returned from Boston, Mass., after working during the Summer at "The Birches" on Moosehead Lake. She will enter Emerson College of Oratory as a sophomore this Fall.
Miss Rebecca Spalding, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Spalding, has resumed her duties as hairdresser in Boston, Mass., after visiting her parents for a week.
Colonel and Mrs. Ted Hills of Washington, D.C., have bought the Andrew J. Libby place in Embden where they will make their home.
Miss Eileen Bowen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bowen, have [sic] entered Westbrook Junior College as a freshman in the Liberal Arts Course. Mr. and Mrs. Bowen and Stanley Eames drove Eileen to Portland.
The Nightingale family has moved into the apartment over the former Thompson's Restaurant.
