"Pejepscot - that portion of the Androscoggin River extending from Brunswick to Merrymeeting Bay, and the adjacent land upon the south, was called Pejepscot. The word originally applied to the water, and meant "crooked, like a diving snake."¹

Maine Genealogical Society President Dale W. Mower will be our speaker. A popular speaker on using the internet for research, he will share some tips, hints and tricks to more effectively searching electronically.
Meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month at the Curtis Memorial Library's Morrill Meeting Room in Brunswick at 2:00 p.m.
Purpose
The purposes of the Chapter are to collect, exchange and preserve written and oral genealogical records and related historical information and to encourage and assist the study of study of genealogy and family history.
Membership
Membership is open to all those interested in genealogy and family history who have paid the appropriate dues.
Annual dues are $5.00 per person or $7.00 for a household of two.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month at the Curtis Memorial Library, Brunswick, Maine, at 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise designated. We do not meet during the months of July and August.
Guests are always welcome!
