Daniel LEE & Wife to Alexander UMPHREY
Executed 20 November 1810

Know all men by these presents that we Daniel
LEE of Saint George in the County of Charlotte
and Province of New Brunswick Yeoman and Martha
LEE my wife for and in Consideration of the Sum
of one hundred and seventy five pounds lawful money
of New Brunswick to us in hand well and truly paid
by Alexander UMPHREY of the Parish of Saint
George, in the County and Province aforesaid,
Merchant, the receipt whereof we do hereby
acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and
by these Presents do grant, bargain, sell and
aliene unto the said Alexander UMPHREY his
heirs and assigns all our right, title, property,
interest, claim or demand whatsoever in and to a
certain lot or tract of land containing two hundred
acres more or less situate lying and being on the
eastern side of Maguaguadavic River in the Parish
of Saint George and County of Charlotte aforesaid
being more particularly described as follows

That is to say beginning at the north west corner
of a Lot of land heretofore conveyed by us to
James ASH and by him leased to Robert ASH
Senior thence east along the said James
ASHS north line three miles and one eighth part
of a mile thence north ten chains of four poles
each, or until it strikes the south east corner of
a Lot of land at present occupied by Abijah
STEVENS, thence west along the south line of
the last mentioned lot until it strikes the eastern
bank of Maguaguadavick river, thence downstream
following the several courses of the said river to
the place of beginning

to have and to hold the said lot or tract of land
hereby granted, bargained and sold, and all and
singular the priviledges, rights, members, and
appurenances thereunto belonging or in any wise
appertaining unto the said Alexander UMPHREY
his heirs and assigns and to his and their only
proper use benefit and behoof forever. And I the
said Daniel LEE and Martha my wife,
for ourselves and each of us our and every of our
Heirs, Executors and Administrators do hereby
covenant and agree to and with the said
Alexander UMPHREY his Heirs and Assigns,
that we are seized of the said Lands and premises
and every part thereof as an indefeasible estate of
fee simple, free of and from all manner of
incumbrances, that we have in ourselves good right
full power and lawful authority to grant, bargain
and sell the same in manner and form aforesaid, and
that the peaceable possession of
the said Lands and premises and every part thereof
with the appurtenances unto the said Alexander
UMPHREY his Heirs and assigns we the said
Daniel LEE and Martha my wife and
each of us, our and every of our Heirs, Executors,
and administrators shall and will warrant and by
these presents forever defend.

In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our handw
and seals this twentieth day of November in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten
and in the fifty first Year of His Majesty's
Reign.

Be it remembered that on the twentieth day of
Novemr in the Year of our Lord one
thousand, eight hundred and ten before me Hugh
MacKAY Esquire one of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the County of Charlotte
aforesaid, personally came and appeared Daniel
LEE and Martha LEE his wife the Grantors
in the above instrument named who did acknowledge
that they executed the same by the sealing and
delivery thereof as their voluntary act and deed to
and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned,
and the said Martha being by me examined
separate and apart from her said Husband did
declare that she executed the same freely and
voluntarily and without fear or compulsion from
him.
