Ana Maria de la GARZA (#mont0844)
Birth Record: Born 1712, probably in Monterrey.
Death Record: Unknown
Life Facts: Her parents were "Capitan" Tomas de la Garza* (#0826) and
Francisca de Leon (#0842). Interestingly Tomas was the
son Blas de la Garza (#0718) - the brother of Leonor de
la Garza(#0722) the matriarch of the Serna y Alarcon clan
of Monterrey.
She married Joseph Salvador de la Serna (#4366). The exact
date is unknown, but she was granted a Dispensation to
marry on 12 March 1730. I suspect that she was residing
in or near Monterrey at that time because the dispenstion
was filed in that city.
The only child I know of as of this date (26 Dec 1998) is
Josepha. I do suspect there are other children but I have
not been able to locate them with certainty ...yet.
Another daughter was born to them about 1751. She was
Maria Francisca de la Serna. (09 March 1999).
* - Tomas de la Garza was married twice before marrying
Francisca. His first spouse was Isabel Gonzalez. She
passed away in 1687. He then married Maria de
Villarreal. She died in 1703.
