Jose Luis de la GARZA (#2406)

Birth Record: Born in Monterrey, Circa 1715

Death Record: Date of death unknown. However, he was still living in
December of 1751. This is known because he is listed
as such in a document dated 21 december 1751.

Life Facts: His parents were Capitan Ignacio de la Garza (#757)
and Polonia Fernandez (#2403). They were residents of
                 el Valle de Pesqueria Grande.

His siblings as of 1735 were Maria Josefa (deceased),
Ignacia Javiera (married to Tomas Elizondo), Juan
Bautista, Isabel Maria, Jose Eugenio, Antonia Leonor,
Ignacio Dionosio, and Maria Antonia. All were minors
                 as of 1735.

He married Juana Maria Gonzales Hidalgo (#4640) at some
unknown date. He subsequently was widowed in 1745.

He obtained a dispensation to marry Josefa Gertrudis de
la Serna (#2385) on 06 May 1745. They probably wed
                 shortly after.

I have no record of children.

As an interesting side note I noticed he was related
to the matriarch of the Serna's of Monterrey, Leonor
de la Garza. Her brother was Jose Luis's gg-grandfather.
