Belloc - I am interested in any information about the Belloc family of
Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico. My husband's great grandfather, Onofre
Belloc, was born there sometime before 1872 to Onofre Belloc and
Buenaventura Flores.  He was a single, employed adult when his first
child Carmen was born 16 Jul 1890. He did eventually marry her mother
after the birth of the second child Leonor, but before the birth of the
third Rosa.  Therefore, he was married sometime between 11 Apr 1892 and
30 Aug 1894 in Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico to Lorenza Avila, daughter
of Rumaldo Avila and Crecencia Rosales.

BIRKBECK & VALDES-searching for any information on Samuel Bradford Birkbeck that married Damiana Valdes, 30 Dec 1839 in Zacatecas. Birkbeck was born Surrey England, migrated first to USA - Illinois, then into Mexico with his brother Charles and married sister Prudence Hanks (3 dtrs). According to the IGI, Samuel and Damiana had the following sons, all born Zacatecas -Enrique Feliciano Valdez Birkbeck 25 June 1842 Henry Angel Birkbeck 2 Aug 1850 Morris Jerome Birkbeck 30 Sept 1854.  Prudence reportedly died of cholera.  The IGI was my first clue as to where in Mexico this family may have gone. Any information or resources much appreciated.

Escobedo - I am looking for info. on my family tree. My great grandfather was Teodoro
Escobedo and his wife was Francisca Ortiz (both born around 1870). Teodoro's
parents were Gavino Escobedo (born in 1836) and Ma. Ysavel Reyes (b. in 1844).
Francisca Ortiz's parents were Sebastian Ortiz and Ma. Refugio Roman.  Gavino
Escobedo's parents were Esteban Escobedo and Francisca de Lira(?). Ysavel
Reyes's parents I believe were Jose Matilde Reyes and Maria Ceclia Padron.
Matildes father was Jose Coronado Reyes. Any information would be greatly
appreciated.

Garcia de Noriega - I am trying to find the parents of Alonso GARCIA de NORIEGA (he may have added the NORIEGA later) who was supposedly born in Zacatecas (Zacatecas City?) around the year 1627. He later moved north to New Mexico. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Andrew.

Herrera - Looking for info on family and relatives of Petra Herrera born 29 June
1887 in Villa de Garcia, Zacatecas. She moved with parents to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon when she was a child. Her father's name was Felipe Herrera. He moved to Texas when she married
and moved to Texas. Her mother's name believed to be MORAN. She died sometime prior to 1909 in Monterrey.

Nava - I would like any information relating to the last name Nava. To my understanding it is derived from a rancho named De Nava Rancho, meaning belonging to Nava. The rancho is situated in Zacatecas in the outskirts of the town Jerez. To state the knowledge of my lineage is very limited, my grandfather's name Rafael Nava Banuelos married Eusebia Banuelos whose parents name was Robles-Robles. Also information relating to the name Alfaro from Arroyo Seco in Zacatecas. My grandfather Jose Alfaro Berumen married Herlinda Sandoval. My great grandfather Zenon Nava was born in 1873. And whose father was Zenon Nava Carlos.  My grandmother Eusebia's parents were Eliodoro Banuelos and Magdalena Robles-Robles.

Reyes - Searching my family from San Juan, Jerez, Zacatecas, México. My Grandfather is Felix REYES who was born in 1905 in Belardena, Durango, México and married María Mercedes LARES from El Fuerte, Rio Grande, Zacatecas, México. My G.grandfather Miguel REYES was born in 1878 in this Rancho and married Simona JUAREZ from El Fuerte, Rio Grande, Zacatecas. His father is Severiano REYES who was also born about 1853 in San Juan and married Manuela ARELLANO from San Juan. Reyes  - I am trying to trace my family line. They all came from Zacatecas, Mexico. I know my dad, Aurelio Reyes born in 1900 in Zacatecas, Mexico.
He moved to USA and joined the US Army. He died last year and is buried in Michigan. But i am trying to trace his dad and mom and Grandparents. Their names are Francisco Reyes and Emilia Martinez and the grandparents are Tiburcio Reyes and Damiana Murillo.i also have the names of Javier Martinez and Maria Refugio Reveles as some great grandparents. Zavala  Aguilar -  I am looking for the birth and birthplace of my grandfather, greatgrandfather and greatgreatgreatgrandfather and their respective wives.
Jesus ZAVALA Aguilar, born about 1873 in Hacienda de El Mezquite,
Zacatecas. Died circa 1930 in El Tanque Aguilereno, Coahuila and was
buried in San Jose del Aguaje, Coahuila.  His father was Albino ZAVALA, born in San Luis Potosi and married to Maria del Refugio AGUILAR, from Zacatecas.  Thy had another son named Pedro, older than Jesus. a third son ws named Antonio. Maria del Refugio died in Coahuila. Albino ZAVALA's father was Margarito (Albino?) ZAVALA, wife's name unknown.  Jesus  worked in the mines El Diez and  Mapimi,  Durango and Tlahualilo de Zaragoza, Coahuila as well as in the mines in Zaragoza around Real de
Nieves, and others in  Zacatecas.  Jesus later became a farmer.
His wife was Ladislada PUENTES  Ortega, born circa 1885 in Rancho El
Vergel, Zacatecas-- somewhat close to Nieves Zacatecas.  She was the
daughter of Manuel PUENTES  and Elodia ORTEGA Ramirez.   My father Felix
ZAVALA-Puentes, the son of Jesus ZAVALA-Aguilar,  told me that they were
related to all the HERRADAS  (not Herreros or  Herreras) from Zacatecas.
These Zavalas are also related to the ZAVALAS in Simon Bolivar, Durango.
I need to find information  on the Rancho El Vergel, Zacatecas and the
Hacienda de El Mezquite, Zacatecas.  Both are supposed to be not too far
from each other. I need to find out to what municipio they belong to.
