twining_main_st.jpg
A picture along Main Street in Twining about the 1920's. The building with the car in front of it was previously Sanford's Hotel (the Arenac Hotel).
twining_state_st.jpg Looking north on State Street in Twining in 1912.
turner_street.jpg A street scene in Turner in 1920.
turner_hotel.jpg A picture of the Hotel Turner per the sign on the building. Date unknown.
santiago_store.jpg Picture of the Santiago Store taken on August 25, 1901. Standing in front of the door is Sylvester B. Ennes (Calvin Ennes' father). Veva Harris at 11 years old is sitting on the step (left side) and Veva's Aunt Addie Brooks, is sitting on the right. Veva Harris later became the wife of Calvin Ennes.
mr_st_scene.jpg A picture in Maple Ridge from "The Way We Were" in the Arenac County Independent. I personally found the machinery very impressive, however, the purpose of the picture, as shown in the caption, is to see if anyone could help identify any of the people in the picture.
ag_clubhouse.jpg An advertisement for the Au Gres Club House by Mr. and Mrs. John Lagness. The advertisement ran in the Pioneer Society Booklet of 1911 and read "We conduct a Homelike Hotel, neat Rooms, Clean Beds, Homelike Meals and Reasonable Rates".
ag_city_school.jpg An Au Gres City School shortly after being built. Date unknown.
