James LAFORGE passed away January 2, 1930. James LAFORGE was born at Mooretown, Ontario, June 3, 1848. Died at his home in Curran January 2, 1930. On October 22, 1872, he married Miss Emily SUGDEN to whom seven children were born, Mrs. Edward COLEBATH of Oscoda, Mi., Mrs. Stephen HAWKINS and Edward of Hubbard Lake, Mrs. Aaron JOHNSON of Superior, Wisconsin, Thomas of Oscoda, Burton and Howard of Curran, all of whom are living. Two brothers, Louis of Bay City, and Alek of Detroit, one Sister Josephine FULKERSON of Sarnia, Ontario also survive him. He has 25 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Mr. LAFORGE came to Mitchell Township from Rose City in 1888. He was among the first to settle this community where he lived the remainder of his life. On July 3, 1894 he united with the Baptist church of which he has been a member. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 5 at the Methodist church. Rev. C. X. BROWN being assisted by Rev. A. J.
