Kenneth J. KARR, 65, of 14020 Long Rapids Road, died suddenly at home Monday afternoon (Jan. 14) after suffering a heart attack.

Born May 26, 1919, in Detroit, Mr. KARR moved to Long Rapids in 1940. He married the former Joyce WIEDBRAUK June 3, 1950, in Curran. He engaged in farming and was employed for 29 years with the Besser Co., retiring in 1981.

Mr. KARR was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and a member of the Long Rapids First Congregational Church.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Julia KARR of Big Rapids and Janice FRANCISCO of Long Rapids; three sons, James and Thomas at home and John of Long Rapids; and four grand children.

Friends may call at the Wachterhauser Funeral Home after 7 this evening. At noon on Thursday, his body will be take to the Long Rapids First Congregational Church where funeral services will be at 2 p.m., with the Rev. George R. BURROWS officiating.
