NORMA E. LaFORGE

OSCODA - - Norma E. (Mrs. Thomas) LaFORGE, 72, of Au Sable died Tuesday (May 23) at Iosco Medical Care Facility.

Norma COLBATH was born March 2, 1917, at Au Sable and graduated from Oscoda High School. On Sept. 25, 1936, she married Thomas C. LaFORGE at Christ Episcopal Church, East Tawas.

Mrs. LaFORGE was employed for many years at Ray Colbath Fishery. Later, she moved to the Detroit area, where she resided until retiring back to Au Sable in 1973.

She was an active member of St. John Episcopal Church and was a former member of the Wurtsmith Composite Squadron of Civil Air Patrol and the National Air Cadets.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Patricia SPAW of Wayne; a son, Richard L. of Livonia; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Dorothy COLBATH of Au Sable, Fern LaFORGE of Au Sable, Lelila WELTON of Mikado and Angus CRIST of Au Sable.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Gilbert-Beresh Funeral Home, Oscoda, where the funeral is set for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. G. John MACDONALD will officiate.
