Opal (Pettit) BRABB, 79, of Oscoda, died Wednesday, Nov 24, 2004 in the Iosco Medical Care Facility in Tawas Township, Mich.

She was born May 31, 1925 in Barton City.

Mrs. BRABB was employed for over 10 years by the Lincoln Haven Health Care Center as a nurse's aide. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking and painting natural scenes. She was a active member of the Oscoda Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy; two sons, Loren (Susan) PETTIT of Canton, Mich. and Larry (Judy) PETTIT of Oscoda; one daughter, Phyllis ZUTZ of Aurora, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister,; Edith STREETER of Flint, Mich.; and several nieces and nephew.

Mrs. BRABB was preceded in death by one son, LaVerne; five sisters; Gladys, Ada, Edna, Bernice and Vera; and three brothers, Meryl, Marvin and Orville.

Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the Buresch Chapel of the Buresh-Bennet Funeral Home, Inc. On River Road in Oscoda. Pastor Brian WRIGHT officiated. Interment followed in the Oscoda Pinecrest Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Oscoda Baptist Church.
