Thomas LaFORGE, a former resident of Curran, died Sunday morning at his home in Oscoda, following a heart attack.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James LaFORGE of Curran. He married Lena WIEDBRUAK of Curran.

Surviving are his widow; two sons and one daughter, Thomas of Detroit, William of Oscoda, and Mrs. Mildred DAYTON of Oscoda. A son, Richard, a paratrooper in World War II, was killed overseas duty. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, two brothers, Bert LaFORGE and Ed LaFORGE of Curran, and a sister, Mrs. Harriet HAWKINS of Hubbard Lake.

Funeral services were held at two o'clock Wednesday, from the Curran Baptist Church. Rev. Merlin SKUSE officiated and interment took place in the Curran Cemetery.

Pallbearers were six nephews; James and Clifford HAWKINS, Lee and Courtney LaFORGE, and Floyd and Myron WIEDBRAUK.
