PRETTY HOME WEDDING
-------------
Nuptials of Dave F. Thomas and Miss Cora McMahon, Tuesday

One of the prettiest home weddings that has occurred in the Soo for a long time was that of Tuesday night when Miss Cora McMahon and Dave Frazer Thomas were joined in holy wedlock.   The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T.R. Easterday, and took place at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Minvera McMahon, on Cedar Street, east, at 8:30 o'clock.  A profusion of potted plants graced the rooms of the house.  In one corner of the parlor was an artistic arch of holly and smilax, under which the bride and groom stood when the nuptial knot was tied.  Promptly at the appointed hour, the bridesmaid, Miss Emma McMahon, and the best man, Bryon C. Campbell, came down the stairway, and were followed closely by the bride and groom, the wedding march being played by Mrs. Rose N. Squier, on the piano.  The parties took their positions and in a few minutes Mr. and Mrs. Thomas were receiving congratulations of their friends who witnessed the happy event.   The bride looked charming in an exquisite gown of white brocaded silk, with white chiffon and pearl trimmings, and she carried a bunch of roses.  The groom wore the conventional evening dress.  The bridesmaid was handsomely attired in cream silk, and carried pink and white carnations.  The Misses Winnie Allen and Carrie McMahon and Messrs. Geo. Chisholm and Thos. Lindsay officiated as ushers for the occasion.  At the conclusion of the ceremony the guests partook of a bounteous wedding supper that was all that could be desired.  The young couples were the receipients of many beautiful and useful presents that testified the high esteem in which they are held.  Mr. and Mrs. Thomas will be at home to their friends at the McMahon residence after Feb. 1.  Mr. Thomas is a young gentlemen of upright character and sterling worth, and is worthy in every way of the talented helpmate he has won.  Both have a wide circle of friends here, who with The News are expressing best wishes.

Among those who witnessed the ceremony were:

Messrs. and Mesdames Wm. Brack; H.M. Oren; Wm Webster; Geo. A. Cady; Chas. H. Chapman; R.W. Uren; Jay W. Sutton; Alf Richards; John A. France; Frank R. Warner; Mesdames Frank P. Sullivan, Geo. Hesley; C. W. Nelson; Rose N. Squier; Chas. Weller;  Henry Hickler; Chase S. Osborn; Misses Nettie Wheeler; Maggie Fowler; Winnie Allen; Alice Taylor; Etta Potter; Jean Webster; Kate McMillan; Messrs. Byron E. Campbell; Frank McGovern; Thos. Lindsay; Geo. Chisholm and Robt.
