William Douglas left Tuesday fora visit in eastern Canada.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cornwell and Mr. nad Mrs. George Kooyers spent Monday at East Lake where they enjoyed the day boating and fishing.
The Rudyard Lions Club met in the community hall Tuesday night with President George Pearson in charge. Five visitors were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Steven Forgrave of the Sault called here Tuesday.
Frank Cornwell is working at Newberry and driving back and forth.
Miss Shirley Wallis has had as her guest her cousin, Miss Carolyn Wood of manistique for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Wood of Manistique, motored to the Otto Wallis home Sunday and Carolyn will accompany her parents home Wednesday of this week.
Fred Rines of Flint called here Wednesday. Mr. Rines is the father of Jess Rines.
Mr. and Mrs. William Boncher and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Boncher spent the weekend in Escanaba.
Mrs. James Vanderstar and daughter, and Mrs. Tim Flynn and daughter, of near Brimley called here Thursday.
The State Health, Chest X-ray unit was in Rudyard Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. where under the supervision of Dr. D. Littlejohn and Mr. J. Newitt, Miss Harriet Saunderson, Miss Dunning and Mrs. Fleming they x-rayed person from Rudyard, Trout Lake, Pickford and Kinross. The Rudyard community hall was the meeting place. Mrs. Irene English and Mrs. Florence Johnson assisted as helpers from Rudyard.
Rudyard grangers attending a Pomona degree practice at Pickford Wenesday night were Mr. Ed. Jarvie, Mr. Henry Stevens, Mr and Mrs. Clyde Johnson, Mrs. Otto Wallis and Mrs. Ross Peffers.
Mrs. Eva Smith and Carol Bray of Trout Lake called in Rudyard Thursday.
E.E. Ducap was a Trout Lake visitor Friday.
Leo Kemp, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Kemp was taken to the War Memorial Hospital for a tonsil operation.
Mrs. Field, Sr. was taken to the Mayo hospital for medical attention.
Mr. and Mrs. Russel Allen of Pickford visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Beacom Sunday.
Haddo Harrison of Neebish called here Monday morning enroute to St. Ignace.
Clyde Johnson, Jr. left Tuesday morning for Lansing where he will play in the FFA band.

John Isabell of East street is constructing a two-story garage on his property. When completed it will be 20' by 40'. He is setting the forms at present. His father is helping him.
Angus LaPonsie is putting a basement under his home on East street.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cornwell spent Tuesday in the Sault.
Mrs. C. Johnson motored to Neebish Wednesday to get Mrs. M.J. Flynn to take her to the clinic in the Sault wheer Mrs. Flynn was given medical treatement. Miss W. Flynn accompanied them.
Dick McGinley of Marquette visited at the Clyde Johnson home Wednesday of this week. Returning home via Co-operative creamery truck.
Ellen Stevens, Blanche Vigneaux and Vern Cornwell all employees of Cowan's Dept. Store in the Sault are enjoying a day's vacation Thursday of this week due to the jfact that they worked extra time last week. Ellen and Blance bicycled to Kinross Lake where they enjoyed swimming and a picnic dinner.
Miss Ida MacKariman was taken to the War Memorial Hospital this week fora few days treatment due to an arm ailment.
Vie Caldwell of Kinrooss was a Rudyard caller Wednesday.
Lyle Belanger of Kinross has accepted a position at the Rudyard Manufacturing Co. He is employed on the night shift.
Vern Cornwell nad his mother, Mrs. Frank Cornwell and Lee Johnson spent Thursday at East Lake fishing.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Boucha of Pontiac are enjoying a vacation to Rudyard and vicinity.
The Charles Taylor family returned home Thursday from their cabin at Hulbert. They spent several days there.
Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Turner were Sault callers Wednesday.
William Johnson returned Thursday evening by bus after an extended visit in Detroit and other eastern towns.
Mr. B.W. Sprague left Wednesday for Rochester Minnesota fora medical examination.
Alph Rowan of Pickford was a caller here Friday.
Mack Dunbar, Mrs. and Mrs. Roy Reich, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Boucher and Miss Pearl Ducan were among the Sault callers Friday.
The Rev. and Mrs. Halkola and child were Sault callers Friday.
Lee Johnson is visiting friends near Brimley for a few days.
Juvenile grange met in the community hall Saturday, July 19, at 2 p.m. with a large crowd in attendance. Mrs. C. Jarvie, matron, was in charge of the group. Lunch was served, consisting of sandwiches, cookies, cake and orangeade.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Reich and Mack Dunbar of Mackville called here Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Labreque of Kinross called here Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Priest of Trout Lake called here Saturday.
Grace Forgrave who works in St. Ignace was home for the weekend.
Eunice Douglas who woks in the Sault was home for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Johnson and son, Lee motored to Neebish. Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Flynn returned with them but went back to Neebish. Mrs. Flynn has been ill.
