OBJECTIVES:

  • To assist in genealogical research
  • To collect and aid in the preservation of Chippewa County records of genealogical value
  • To maintain a genealogical collection of books and other records



  • New Officers elected October, 2012 for a two-year term:

    President:  Steve Gordon
    Vice-President:  Charles W Meiser
    Secretary:  Judi Walsh
    Treasurer:  Carol Storey

    Officers are elected at the annual meeting in September.  Positions are held for two years.

    MEETINGS:

    Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Bayliss Public Library Community Room. In the odd numbered months we have speakers. In the even numbered month we have research sessions and webinars.

    2013 schedule exceptions:

    March meeting will be Thursday 21st with guest speaker Theresa Schenck

    April meeting will be Tuesday the 23rd

    MEMBERSHIP FEES:

    Membership fees are due one year from date of payment.

    JOURNAL:

    Chippewa GenTalk, a quarterly newsletter, was published in February 2001.  Society members may place five free queries annually in the newsletter, with additional queries costing $1 each.  Non-members may place queries for $1 each.  For more information regarding the newsletter, please contact  Kathleen M. Hendricks.
