JACKSON COUNTY MICHIGAN GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY The Jackson County Genealogical Society, an organization formed and dedicated to the encouragement and enhancement of genealogy, was formed in 1977. Society objectives are:
NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS During the fall of 2008 members of the Austin Blair Camp No. 7 Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War replaced the headstones of eight veterans of the Civil War buried at Jefferson Cemetery. A dedication ceremony attended by more than 100 people many descendents of the Veterans was held on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at the Cemetery in Columbia Township, Jackson County Michigan.
