BEAN:
Mr. Bean reports under date of July 12, 1927, that there were 14 burials in the cemetery, but only three marked, and these unmarked were young children, and there is no record. Mr. Bean says his grandfather’s people were from Vermont, then moved to Batavia, NY and to Michigan in 1834. The grandfather mentioned is the one buried in this cemetery. The grandfather’s father, John Bean came from Scotland, and he and his sons served in the American Revolution. He died in Batavia in 1830. Mr. Bean says their family has been represented in every struggle for American rights, being represented in the last war by a son and four nephews.
