May 4, 1734 from Jane Lawson, Jno Steptoe Jr, & Joanna, his wife,
of Christchurch Parish in Lancaster County, to Robert Mitchell of St Marys
White Chapell Parish in Lancaster County, for 18,000 pounds of tobacco
& 50 £ and for divers other good causes, 450 acres in North Farnham
Parish & R, bounded on the west by a branch of Moratico [Cr] that divides
this land from the land of John Mills, Thom's Durham on the north side,
Abraham Goad on the northeast, William King and Mr. Anthony Sydnor on the
east side, Isaac White on the south. This land is part of a patent granted
to Thom's Madison dated 1770 [sic], by him sold to Capt. John Purvis &
by Purvis to Jno Ockley & by Ockley given by will to said Jean Lawson.
