Court met at 8 ½ o'clock on Tuesday morning January 18th 1881, present and presiding the Hon. T.S. Bunch, Judge of the Probate Court when the following
proceedings were had to wit.
On this day was presented to the Court the petition of A.G. Moore administrator of the Estate of Ephriam Goad deceased representing that there is a small amount of personal property belonging to said
estate that is liable to go to waste or greatly depreciated in value and being verified by an affidavit and asking the Court to make an order to see said personal property on such terms as the Court deems advisable and the Court
being fully advised in the premise. It is therefore ordered by the Court that said Administrator proceed to sell the said personal property at the premises of the deceased on Thursday February the 10th 1881 first giving notice as
is required by law on a credit of three months for all sums of Five dollars and more, on less amounts cash on delivery of property. Purchaser to be required to give land or note with approved security with interest at ten percent
from date until paid and said Administrator will make a report of said sale at the next term of this Court.
On this day was presented to the Court the petition of A.G. Moore Administrator of the Estate of Ephriam Goad deceased
representing that the personal property of said Estate is not sufficient to pay debts of said Estate. Representing further that there is certain Real Estate belonging to said Estate described as follows to wit. The W ½ of the SE ¼
of Section 1 in Township 18N of Range 24 West and the W ½ of the NE ¼ of Section 12 in Township 18N of Range 24. And the Court being fully advised in the premise doth grant the prayer of the said petitioner. It is therefore ordered
by the Court that said Administrator after giving notice as is required by law proceed on Saturday the 12th day of February 1881 to sell the above described land at the Court House door in the town of Berryville, Arkansas to the
highest bidder on a credit of six months. Purchaser to give note with approved security with interest at 10% of sale till paid, provided that all of said lands bring two thirds of their appraised value and that said Administrator
give the time and terms of sale in his notice and that he report the same at the next term of this Court.
Court met at 8 ½ o'clock on Wednesday morning, January 19th, 1881 persuant to adjournment, present and presiding the Hon.
T.S. Bunch, Judge of the Probate Court, when the following proceedings were had to wit:
On this day was presented to the Court the bond of A.G. Moore as the Administrator of Ephriam Goad deceased with John Lunday as his Security
in the sum of Eight hundred dollars which bond is approved by the Court and ordered recorded.
October Term of Carroll County Probate Court 1881. On this day was presented to the Court the final account current of A.G. Moore as
the Administrator of Ephriam Goad deceased, which is ordered filed, advertised and continued until the next term of this Court for confirmation of rejection.
January Term 1882 Probate Court of Carroll County. On this day was
presented to the Court the final account current of A.G. Moore Administrator of E. Goad which had filed, advertised and continued from the last term of this Court for confirmation or rejection and being in all things found correct
is confirmed and ordered recorded leaving balance due of said estate $21.12.
At a regular term of the Probate Court began and held the Court House in the town of Berryville in Carroll County, Arkansas on Monday the 16th day of
April 1883 the time fixed by law for holding said Court present and presiding the Hon. William Walker, Judge of said Court when the following proceedings were had to wit:
Comes A.G. Moore, Admr. of the estate of Ephriam Goad Deed
and shows to the Court that he has a balance in his hands belonging to said estate of Twenty One Dollars which he desires to pay out to the heirs of the estate as he has fully administered the same. It is therefore considered and
ordered that said Admr. pay to the heirs of said estate the balance in his hands as show above and upon his filing their receipts for their respective shares he shall be discharged from any further liability on his bond.
Court
met at 8 ½ o'clock a.m. October 21st 1884 present and presiding the same as on yesterday when the following proceedings were had to wit:
On this day comes A.G. Moore Administrator of Ephriam Goad deceased and shows to the Court
that he stood charged with $21.12 at his last settlement on Page 305 of this record and that since said settlement he has paid $19.42 ½ of said amount and filed receipts for same leaving a balance of $19 ½/100 in his hands and the
court orders the said report recorded on account current book and that the said Administration be discharged from any further liabilities on his administration bond as such administrator of said estate.
There is a certificate
from the County & Probate clerk stating that the foregoing instrument is a true & correct copy of the original Bond, Petitions, Report as recorded in Book A, Pages 281, 282, 297, 305, 326, and 353.
