Page 495. Power of Attorney. I, Ann Downman, wife of William Downman of the Parish of Farnham in R, appoint my trusty friend William Brockenbrough to be my lawful attorney, for me and in my name, to relinquish my right of dower of a certain water mill with all the land belonging thereto, sold by my husband to William Stone. Signed Jun 3, 1729 - Anne Downman. Wit - H Miskell, Wm Goad. Recorded Jun 4, 1729.

Jun 3, 1729 from William Downman of North Farnham Parish in R, to William Stone of same, for 8000 pounds of tobacco, one certain water mill with all the land belonging to it, situated in North Farnham Parish and R. Signed - Downman, Anne Downman. Wit - W Brockenbrough, Henry Miskell. Wm Brockenbrough, by virtue of a power of attorney from Ann Downman, the wife of the said William Downman, relinquished her right of dower. Recorded Jun 4, 1729.
