Rappahannock County, Virginia 1682 - 1686 Deed Book No. 7 5 April 1682 - 31 March 1686 pp. 107-10878 THIS INDENTURE made the fifth day of May 1684 and in the sixth and thirtieth yeare of the Reign of oer: Soveraigne Lord Charles the Second &c. Between LUKE BILLlNGTON of the
County of Rappa:, Gent., of the one part and DENNIS MACCARTY of the same County alsoe Gent., of the other part Witnesseth that the said LULE BILLINGTON for the sum of Five thousand pounds of merchantable Tobo: in cask to him
paid he the said LUKE BILLINGTON doth hereby confirme unto the said DENNIS MACARTY his heires all that parcell of land contayning One hundred and thirty acres being near FARNHAM CREEKE in the Parish of Farnham on the North side
of Rappa: River and County of Rappa: aforesaid bounded as is herein expressed begining at two Hickory trees and a white Oake all marked standing at the head of a small branch that issueth out of a Creeke called PIPEMAKERS
CEEEKE there and runing thence North East to a Spanish Oake that stands on the West side of a branch that issueth out of FARNHAM CREEKE and divides this from the land of JOHNILLIAMS deceased and runing up along the said Branch
to another great Spanish Oake at the head thereof, thence N. W. to a great red Oake, thence by or near the land of the sd WILLIAMS W. S. to a great white Oake neare a branch that runs out of the said PIPEMAKERS CREEKE, thence
downe the said Branch & Creeke to the mouth of the first marked trees aforesaid and all houses buildings and all other pfitts. to the said land belonging as the same is now in the posession of the said DENNIS MACARTY To
have and to hold the said land with all the rights unto the said DENNIS MACCARTY his heirs forever subject to the quitrents which from henceforth shall become due and the said LUKE BILLINGTON (for the consideration aforesaid)
shalt and will forever warrant and defend against all persons claiming the same In Wittness whereof the parties have sett their hands and seales Signed sealed and delivered in prsence of
