This day came the Solicitor as well as the defendant in his proper person, who being arraigned and charged upon the bill of Indictment pleaded not guilty
thereto, and for his trial put himself up on the Country whereupon came a Jury of good and lawful men Towit: Matthias Anderson, George Anderson, Jeremiah Denton, John McKinny, Isaac Robertson, Abraham Sauls, Nathan Earls, Jenky
Jenkins, William Kirk, Robert Webb, John Gourd, Joseph Wilson, who being elected tried and sworn the truth to speak upon the issue of traverse joined upon their oath do say that the defendant is not guilty in manner and form
as charged upon the bill of Indictment as in pleading he hath alleged. Wherefore upon motion of the Solicitor and for reasons of appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, it is considered by the Court that the State recover
against the defendant all costs in this behalf expended &c. |
