From Ken Haas, 3/2/2001: James Reison Goad , son of Robert, Jr. and Polly,who married Mary Toumbs, died in the first year of the Civil War and Mary received a pension. Robert who married
Caroline Harris went to the "Tennessee Colony" in Anderson County, Texas and was a lieutenant in the Confederate Army and died in the 1880s Mary Beckum, bride of Richard, did not long survive her
marriage (barring a divorce).. By 1850, Richard was back home living with his parents, Robert.Jr. and Polly. Richard had an earlier marriage and that marriage also was short-lived.. |
