Introduction This index to the site provides name to page links to a variety of types of pages with Goad or Goad related information, including:
- Transcriptions of documents
- Abstracts of documents
- Excerpts from books or other publications
- Biographical sketches
- Family group sheets
There is no attempt to tie documents, abstracts and excerpts to specific families or individuals. The index only lists the names of the individuals as they appear in the source material. Women are listed by the name that appears in the reference, which may be their maiden name or married name. Where it is obvious that a couple is married, they are listed together. If a woman is referred to by her married name and her maiden name is obvious, the maiden name is provided in parenthesis. Generally, each name will have a separate entry for each link. The exception to this is the family group sheets where the parents appear on their children’s family sheets. Family group sheets are identified by a seven character link that starts with FGS and ends with four numerical digits. A bolded FGS link identifies the sheet where the individual is either the father or mother of the family.
