by Ken Haas June and Ruth are no longer with us. However,they are responsible for a large percentage of the data appearing in these pages. When I first started seriously researching the Goads in ca 1975, to the best of my knowledge, no real attempt had ever been made to pull these Goads together and fit them into their proper families. Soon after 1975, I made contact with these two ladies and we found we each possessed data not known to the other two. Naturally we agreed to share. Our long-distance friendship began a fifteen-year correspondence which had its fruition in my book, "THE GOADS, A FRONTIER FAMILY" and many articles by June.Before writing the book, I checked with June and Ruth and found they had no plans for a book and got their approval to go ahead. I want it to be known that whatever plaudits have come my way for the book belong equally to these two unselfish and dedicated researchers. They spent untold hours and a not-inconsiderable amount of money in forwarding this project to which you people are now making your contribution. Thanks for listening - and carry on !!

These family group sheets are from the work of the late Wanda June Goad Worland. Many of them originated from other researchers. However, almost all of the handwriting is June’s and she certainly added added her own notes, in many instances continuing on the back of the sheet and on additional sheets.
Since the group sheets here represent the work and collection of June Worland, no corrections of errors in her work will be made. However, I will add additional clarifying information as notes to be exhibited with the group sheet with proper citation to the originator of the clarifying information.
With one exception, no information other than names from family group sheets will be posted on the internet for anyone born after the year of the most recently released United States census, currently 1920. The single exception is for information for individuals who are deceased.
