Both General Meetings and Board Meetings are free and open to the public. Guests are always welcome!

The General Meetings are normally held at the Portage District Library, but on occasion they will be held at the Western Michigan University Archives.  They begin at 7:00pm the third Monday of each month, with a brief business meeting followed by the program on topics of interest to genealogists.  There are no General Meetings held in the months of July, August, and December.

The popular mini-classes, held just prior to the General Meetings, are from 6:15 to 6:45pm and is to help KVGS members and friends acquire tools, techniques, and resources for more effective genealogical research.

The Board Meetings are normally held at the Family History Center, LDS and are normally held one week prior to the general meetings.
