This tour is specifically designed for genealogical research purposes, but our coach will be available for extra excursions in which our group may wish to participate.  Such options could include a group tour of the White House, (security measures include a photo ID, full legal name and social security number to be submitted to Carolyn with final payment), a tour through our Nation’s Capitol, (photo ID) and a group tour through Annapolis Naval Academy, (photo ID) for an additional $9.00.

We’ll explore the city again this year by offering an illuminated evening driving tour past the US Capitol, White House, Supreme Court, National Cathedral, Embassy Row, Smithsonian, 9/11 memorial at the Pentagon and Iwo Jima. An optional narrated sightseeing “trolley day” aboard the
Old Town Trolley is offered for an additional $35.00 (to be purchased at Union Station or Washington DC Visitors Center-downtown).

Our coach will shuttle between The
Arlington Residence Court Hotel and the libraries each morning then again in the afternoon. Transportation to the Archives and Libraries via the Metro Transit System Court House Station is located 2 blocks from our hotel and free shuttle service is offered to the station.

There are ample shopping opportunities and restaurants within walking distance as well.  Rooms have free wireless internet for evening research and there is a business center located on the property for your convenience.

The Genealogical Research Tour Will Include:
Transportation by deluxe Cardinal Motor Coach with tour manager.
Six nights lodging at Arlington Residence Court, a Clarion Collection Hotel, 1200 N Courthouse Rd, Arlington, VA  22201
Driver gratuity and baggage handling at the hotel.

Ten included meals, six full American breakfasts and four buffet dinners.

Day1
Sun, Sept 27, 2009:

We will depart from Center Medical Supply, 5125 Portage Rd at I-94 (vehicle parking is available) and travel to Washington DC with a mid-evening arrival.  There will be rest breaks and meal stops every 2-3 hours while en route.

Day 2
Mon, Sept 28, 2009

After our Full American Buffet, the day is free for research.  A buffet dinner is served at the hotel this evening.

Day 3
Tue, Sept 29, 2009

Full American Buffet, the day is free for research.  A buffet dinner is served at the hotel this evening.  Time is available for an illuminated city tour this evening if desired.

Day 4
Wed, Sept 30, 2009
Full American Buffet will be served this morning at the hotel followed by a day of research.  Today is our optional "Trolley Day".  Buffet dinner served this evening at our hotel.

Day 5
Thu, Oct 1, 2009

Full American Breakfast Buffet served this morning at the hotel. Today is free for research.  Optional group White House tour is scheduled for today.

Day 6
Fri, Oct 2, 2009
After our Full American Breakfast Buffet, the day is free for research. Our   Annapolis Naval Academy tour is scheduled for 10:00 this morning.  Our group   Capitol tour is scheduled for this afternoon.

Day 7
Sat, Oct 3, 2009
After our Full American Breakfast Buffet, we will depart for
Kalamazoo. Rest and meal stops every 2–3 hours en-route are scheduled including an Amish dinner at          at Sauder Village’s Old Barn Restaurant with a mid-evening arrival in Kalamazoo.
