Leelanau County Cleveland Township Cemetery Headstone Index

In June 2007 we photographed the headstones in the cemetery. The cemetery is located on County Road
669 about ¼ miles south of the intersection with M22.
It was in the middle of a very warm bright sun shiny day and we wanted to get out of the sun. So a very
small number of photos were of little value. Some photos failed to capture all the information and some stones were
so degraded as to make photos almost meaningless to us. In a few instances we were unable to connect a stone to a
given name to a surname. In those cases we just dropped them.

The names are as they appeared on the headstone. The dates and inscriptions are as they appeared with a
few exceptions. The additional information in 4th column are indicated by using ( ) and indicates when more than
one persons information was on the same stone. Which usually indicates husband and wife, but in at least one case
it appears to be another relationship.
