The Marquette County Genealogical Society in Marquette, Michigan was organized in 1988 to share a common interest in genealogy, help preserve and organize sources and resources in the area, promote family research, and maintain a collection of genealogical resources. The MCGS is a member of the Federation of Genealogical Societies and the Michigan Genealogical Council.
MEMBERSHIP
Annual dues per calendar year are $15.00 for a single or family membership.

MEETINGS
Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month, September through May,
at Peter White Public Library in Marquette,
Shiras Room, beginning at 6:45 p.m. All meetings and programs are open to
the public.
PUBLICATIONS
SERVICES
The MCGS maintains a collection of resource material at the Peter White Public
Library, 217 N. Front St., Marquette. In addition to books, microfilm,
microfiche, cassettes, periodicals, and video tapes, the MCGS also has computers
with a large CD collection. Internet access, including Ancestry Library Edition
and Heritage Quest, is available through the library computer stations.
The collection is available during regular Library hours, and volunteer
members are available to assist you on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
