Looking for information about Benjamin R. ROSE, a Barry County Civil War soldier (son of Benjamin ROSE and Sarah HAMILTON, pioneers of Woodland, Barry Co., MI). B.R. ROSE died in Feb. 1904, at the home of his niece, Mrs. J. Roland CLARK in Grand Rapids. Who was she, and how connected? He also had a nephew, Ferris ROSE (son of his brother, Hamilton ROSE), who lived in Grand Rapids in 1905. I also found a 1905 newspaper article about Mrs. Ida FURNIA, of Ludington, who claimed to be the sole heir of the late B.R. ROSE (case tried in Kent Co. Circuit Court). Any information about this court case and/or the above people would be greatly appreciated.
