CLARK, HILL, JOHNSON, MILLER posted by Dennis Clark on Saturday, March 25, 2000

I am looking for any information on a Newlan ( Newland ) J. CLARK and an Ida CLARK. It is believed that Newland and Ida are the children of Hannah Johnson CLARK_______ and Charles CLARK b. 1831 Tioga County , New York. Charles died in Boot Camp ( disease ) getting ready for going to go to War in the Civil War in 1861. We have much information on the ancestry of Newland and Ida. ( Both sides of grandparents ) According to the Montcalm County Grooms and Brides lists, Newland married a Hanah HILL on the 18th of Oct. 1875. According to the Brides lists, Ida CLARK married a Charles MILLER on April the 2nd, in the year 1883. I am very interested to find the name of any offspring of these marriages. I am a direct descendant of Charles brother Jabez CLARK ( b. 1827 Tioga County, New York ) who married Hannah JOHNSON's sister Sarah C. JOHNSON in 1857 in Ionia County. The CLARK and JOHNSON families were from Orleans Township in Ionia County. I have recently been contacted by the JOHNSON family so we can now supply a great deal of information on the CLARK and the JOHNSON ancestries. The CLARK family came to Orleans in 1849 through Medina County , Ohio. Thank you and have a great day.
