MISHLER posted by Denise Finlayson on Thursday, June 1, 2000

I am in search of info regarding Noah MISHLER and his family (wife was indicated as Leah and known children born in Michigan listed as Orrilla, Leona and Beaulah in a Colorado 1880 census). His oldest child was born in Michigan about 1866 and other children born about 1873 and 1875. There may have been other children that died that I am unaware of at this time. Noah was born about 1842/3 and Leah was born about 1847. In an Montcalm Co., MI index for 1870, Noah Mishler is listed in the Village of Stanton on page 62R. I don't have access to this entry and would like to have it, but also require any information that can be found of this family's existence in Michigan.....most probably Montcalm Co., Michigan was the only place they lived while in Michigan, but it was long enough to have a good number of children, therefore there may be some other evidence of their activity before they ended up in Colorado in the 1880 census. Other known facts include that Noah was born in Ohio, lived in Indiana and was in the Civli War. Would like to find Noah's marriage record too if it can be found. Thank you.

ARMSTRONG, CARNEY, DALRYMPLE, GIBBS, KETZBAW, KETZBEAU, LULAM, MILLER posted by Ila Miller on Monday, June 5, 2000

Helping hubby locate family ancestors. His grandfather Amos G. MILLER married Pearl ARMSTRONG in 1930, she was a KETZBEAU (sp?). His ggrandfather Oscar MILLER married Mary DALRYMPLE in 1897. His gggrandfather Augustus MILLER b. Sep 1854 in PA married Mary Ann LULAM in 1875. All marriages took place in Montcalm County and are verified through court records. Could Mary DALRYMPLE parents be Francis DALRYMPLE and Mahala GIBBS? Augustus MILLER's parents were Ernie MILLER and Phoebe CARNEY she born in NJ. Anyone out there have information on this family line?

HOSTLER, KEACH, SHAY, WRIGHT posted by Christina Zahn on Tuesday, June 13, 2000

I am looking for any/all information on William SHAY (1790-187?), his wife Sarah Ann KEACH (1810-1857), and their children: Hannah P. SHAY, William P. SHAY, Nancy M. SHAY, Ebenezer B. SHAY, Benjamin B. SHAY, Lewis A. SHAY, Charles J. SHAY, and Phebe Ann SHAY (married James WRIGHT). William and his wife came to Monroe County, Michigan around 1833. It appears they relocated around 1854-1855 to Bloomer Twp, Montcalm County, Michigan. If this is the correct entry, Sarah Ann KEACH died in 1857 and is buried in the Carson City Cemetery. All of the sons appear to have served in the Civil War, Benjamin was killed at Cold Harbor, Virginia and is buried there. William P. became a HOSTLER in the 1900 census for Portland Twp, Ionia County. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

BROWN, SPRAGUE posted by Laura Hardy on Saturday, June 17, 2000

My great-grandmother, Edith May SPRAGUE, was born in Greenville, Montcalm County, MI on 28 MAR 1879. Her parents were George Hall SPRAGUE (b. 8 Jul 1850 in Savannah, Wayne County, NY; d. 8 Nov 1941 in South Butler, Wayne County, NY) and Frances Eleanor BROWN (b. 30 Nov 1860 in New York City; d. 26 Feb 1922 in Buffalo, NY).
