We meet at 2:30 p.m. on the second Sunday of the month (unless noted) in the Carlos Meeting Room of the Northville District Library (212 W. Cady Street, 248-349-3020).

Oct. 14 2:00 - Early Starting Time - 20th Anniversary Party – Programs, Videos, Refreshments
   
Nov. 11 Greg Kowalski, Chairman of the Hamtramck Historical Commission has written two books on Hamtramck “Hamtramck:  The Driven City” and “Hamtramck:  Soul of a City”.  Learn about Polish history.  A very interesting presentation, even if you’re not a genealogist.

We will choose from 5 items at the restaurant:
Dublin Salad - Seasoned grilled chicken breast, sliced and served on field greens with candied walnuts,sun-dried tomatoes, diced tomatoes, and goat cheese. Tarragon vinaigrette dressing. (yum!)

Killbane Cobb Salad - Iceberg and romaine topped with bleu cheese, diced tomatoes, bacon, sliced eggs, smoked turkey, cucumbers and red onion garnish. Balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Chicken Spinach Melt - Charbroiled chicken breast on grilled sourdough with gooey Swiss cheese and warm spinach and artichoke dip. Fries and Slaw

Paddy Mac’s Corned Beef (or Turkey) and Slaw Vienna corned beef (turkey) topped with Irish Slaw and Swiss cheese on grilled marble rye bread. Fries and Slaw

Fish and Chips - Fillet of fish coated with Bass Ale batter and fried, served with fries, slaw and tartar sauce.

   
Jan. 13 The Petticoat Ladies present “Charmers or Cranks?” These Victorian era ladies were just trying to make it in a man’s world.  You be the judge.  Characters such as Carrie Nation, Mollie Brown, and Isadora Duncan, come to life. 
   
Feb. 10 Carl Katafiasz will teach us about French Canadian resources.  He is a reference librarian who delights in his topic and has done so for many organizations.
   
Mar. 9 “Researching There When You are Here” - Karen Krugman
   
Apr. 13 John Castle – Discover seldom used township records and learn how to research them.
   
May 4 Learn how to do cemetery research at Oakwood Cemetery.  Well-experienced board members will take you to Oakwood and show you what to do in an actual cemetery (weather permitting).
