Hi Wendy

I have heard from two ladies in Michigan who are distant relatives!! One lady has even offered to plan a reunion this summer if I can go up there! She has an uncle who still remembers my Mom and grandmother and her son is best friends with my uncle's grandson. With their help, I will be able to hook up three families. 

One lady made the connection through the name Penrod, she didn't recognize any of the pictures. The other lady recognized the picture of Emma and Laura Penrod. Emma Winchell Penrod and Laura Winchell Penrod married brothers, Fred and George. Emma is my great grandmother and Laura is her great great grandmother. Laura raised my mother.

She also recognized another picture, which I don't remember. She said it is of a man sitting by a house with some fish. I haven't quite figured out where that man fits in. She knows how everyone is related, but I am still trying to figure some of it out! I'm waiting for her to send me group sheets so I can put it all together.              It seems I have records for the older people and she knows how the younger ones are connected. What is so exciting for me, is that we connect through the Winchell line and   the Penrod line.

The other lady connected Penrod with another family name, Hurtle, which I don't have any pictures of.

I have told several people about the site. I think it is such a wonderful idea, especially now that it brought me success! Keep up the good work.
