Meeting News

The next membership meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27, 2012.  Our visitor is Marcia McCreary from the Genealogical Society of Washtenaw County. Marcia will speak on the resources available at the Family History Center in Ann Arbor, as well as how to order microfilm online from Salt Lake City, Utah, the largest collection of genealogical records in the world!

Marcia will speak at 7 p.m. at the Stockbridge Branch of the Capital Area District Library on Wood Street. Visitors are welcome and there is no admission fee. We hope to see you there.

The Stockbridge area covers a large geographic area which includes parts of four counties:  Ingham, Livingston, Jackson, and Washtenaw.

Many small farming communities are included in the Stockbridge area:  Gregory, Unadilla, Plainfield, Millville, Pinckney, Parkers Corners, Waterloo, Munith, Lyndon Center, Stockbridge, Hell, Bunker Hill, Fitchburg, Dansville, White Oak, and Pleasant Lake.
