St. Clair County Family History Group, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Organization is Registered with the State of Michigan and the United States Internal Revenue.


The purposes of this Corporation are:

A. To encourage and assist in the study of family history.

B. To promote the exchange of knowledge and encourage the depositing of genealogical records with the Corporation.

C. To help and share information with each other.

D. To institute research and preserve and perpetuate genealogical and historical records.

E. To promote and publish genealogical materials.

F. To cooperate with other genealogical societies and to aid the Michigan Room of the St. Clair County Library with matters of genealogical interest.

Each year our group purchases and donates genealogical material and books to the Michigan Room of the St. Clair County Library.

We also donate copies of our published genealogical material and books to the State of Michigan Library and the Archives.

Membership Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Port Huron Museum.  This meeting includes speakers on various genealogical topics, genealogy help, etc.  
Board of Director's Meetings
are held every other (odd) month on the third Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Port Huron Museum and are open to all members. 
Workshops are held at 7PM on the 3rd Monday in even months only as needed for accomplishing projects that the group is undertaking.  Meetings will be announced at the membership meeting prior to the workshop.  Local members will also be contacted via email with any details.
