Eunice I. O'Brien
"St. Clair - Eunice I. O'Brien, 83, of St. Clair, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998. She was born July 8, 1914 in St. Clair Twp. She married Daniel O'Brien on Jun. 7, 1932 in St. Clair Twp. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1990. She is survived by a son, Douglas (Dolores) O'Brien of Riverside, Ca.; her daughter, Phyllis Tivy of East China Twp.; her grandchildren, Renee Tivy and Danielle (Chis) Holt of St. Clair, Margot (Dr. William) Cassel of Muncie, Indiana, Erin (Michael) Chavez and Karen (Michael) Hubbard of California; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Howard Barringer of New Boston; her sister-in-law, Eva Barringer of Marysville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, John O'Brien, son-in-law Stanley Tivey Jr.; her brother, Judson Barringer and her sister, Florence Talbert. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Lobb will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 1 p.m. Saturday unitl the time of services. Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Hospice, American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice."

William J. O'Donnell
"Port Huron - Mr. William J. O'Donnell, 45, of Port Huron died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999, in Bon Secour Hospital. He was born Oct. 27, 1954, in Port Huron. He married Virginia A. Aguiar July 6,1979, in Miami. He was a program manager at Lamb Technicon for 17 years. He graduated from Port Huron Northern in 1973 and attended the University of Detroit. He graduated from Northwood Institute with a bachelor of business administration degree. Mr. O'Donnell was very active with the Port Huron High Drama Club, was vice president of Port Huron Township Little League, chairman of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Adminstrative Council, facilitator of the Odyssey of the Mind program, and was a member of the Archdiocesan Vicarate Advisory Council. He was an avid hunter and golfer. Mr. O'Donnell is survived by his wife, Virginia; three sons, Sean, Erik and Adam; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.J. (Marie) O'Donnell of Fort Meyers, Fla.; two sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Neil (Janette) Shaw of Sterling Heights, and Mr. and Mrs. Phil (Mary Ann) Pearson of Louisville, Ky; three brothers, Mr. and Mrs. James (Cheryl) O'Donnell of Sarasota, Fla.. Mr. and Mrs. Timothy (Theresa) O'Donnell of Port Huron and David O'Donnell and partner, Manny Cabral, of Boston; two nieces; seven nephews; one great-nephew; and three great-nieces. Visiting will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. A funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, in Our Lady of Guadalupe. The Rev. Patrick Halfpenny will officiate. Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township. Memorials may be made to the O'Donnell Children's College Fund."

Esther I. O'Sullivan
"Port Huron - Esther I. O'Sullivan, 79, of Port Huron died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, in Marwood Manor. She was born Aug. 18, 1920, in Port Huron and lived here most of her life. She married John C. O'Sullivan on May 26, 1945, in Port Huron. She was a graduate of Port Huron High School. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed other card games. Esther was involved with her children's and family activities and was active in the P.T.A. and Scouting while raising her children. She was a member of the Newman Center Community. She is survived by her husband, John C. O'Sullivan of Port Huron; her daughters, Kathleen A. O'Sullivan of Pacifica, Ca., and Jane F. O'Sullivan of Port Huron; her son, John F. (Carol) O'Sullivan of Newport; her grandsons, John P. O'Sullivan, Ryan J. O'Sullivan, and Sean M. O'Sullivan, all of Newport; her granddaughter, Jillene O'Sullivan of Newport; her sisters, Aila Germaine of Alma, Helen Soini of San Mateo, Ca., and Elsie Teahan of Port Huron; her brothers, Aino "Cap" Soini of Port Huron and Frederick "Sam" (Helen) Soini of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and George Soini, and her sister, Mary Soini. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Newman Center. The Rev. Rene L. Daniel OBrien
"New Baltimore - Daniel OBrien, 83, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 1990, in Macomb Hospital. He was born April 2, 1907, in Port Arthur, Ontario. He married Eunice Barringer Jan. 7, 1932. Mr. OBrien was a retired machinist. He also held a Chief Engineers License and served in the Merchant Marine Reserve during the war. He is survived by his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Delores OBrien of Riverside, Calif.; a daughter, Phyllis OBrien Tivy of St. Clair; five granddaughters, Renee and Margot Tivy and Danielle (Cristopher) Holt all of St. Clair, Erin (Mike) Chavez and Karen (Armando) Sandoval of California; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Bertrand and Helen Hoy of Windsor and Myrtle Price of Sarnia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, John OBrien and a son-in-law, Stanly E. Tivy Jr. Services will be at 1 P.M. Tuesday in the L.C. Friederichs and Son funeral Home. The Rev. Wilbert Roy Odle
"Marysville - Wilbert Roy Odle, 66, of Marysville died April 1, 2000, in Marwood Manor after a short illness. Wilbert was born February 25, 1934, in Pontiac to the late Elisha and Frances (McClure) Odle. He married Beverly Bettridge on February 19, 1955, in St. Stephens Catholic Church, Port Huron. Mr. Odle retired from Ford Motor Company, Utica Trim Plant, March 1, 2000, after 22 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local 400, Moose Lodge 158, Sun Parlor of Canada 95, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3702. He enjoyed gardening and playing cards. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverly; two sons, Wilbert Charles Odle of Port Huron and Kenneth Odle of Marine City; a daughter, Kimberly Odle of Marysville; three brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Viola) Odle, Mr. & Mrs. Norman (Marie) Odle, all of Port Huron, Howard Odle of New Baltimore; five sisters, Onalee Meyers, Mr. and Mrs. Dean (Wanda) White, Mr. and Mrs. James (Phyllis) Collins all of Port Huron, Mary Caughel of Applegate, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Lois) Henderson of Ruby; a sister-in-law, Joanne Odle and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy; a sister, Shirley Tack; three brothers, Arley, Phillip and Henry. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Marysville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. "Carsonville - Helen Ohanian, age 70, of Carsonville died Friday, May 26, 2000, in her home. She was co-founder, owner and operator with her husband, Herbert, of the Sanilac Bakery in Port Sanilac. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Herbert; one brother; two sisters; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Di'Amico of Port Sanilac. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington. Burial will be in Port Sanilac Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and Monday."

George Henry Oke
"Marine City Man Dies In Port Huron Marine City, March 19 - George Henry Oke, 63, of 335 Woodworth Avenue, Marine City, died at the Port Huron city hospital at 9:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from the home. Rev. F.D. Mumby, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church will officiate. Burial will be Woodlawn cemetery. Besides his widow, Mr. Oke is survived by three children by a former marriage: Mrs. H.P. Moody of Vancouver, B.C., Mrs. Carl Smith of Marine City and Jack McLean of Cleveland. Mr. Oke was born in Bowmanville, Ont., March 25, 1865, and lived at that place until three years ago, when he moved to Marine City. He was an employee of the Imperial Oil Company, Ltd., of Sarnia for 25 years. He married Mrs. Florence Bolt of Toronto, Ont., Aug. 15, 1925." "St. Clair, April 23 - Mrs. Barbara Mackley Olds, 53, widow of Elmer Olds, who lived all her life at 307 Trumbull street, St. Clair, was found dead Wednesday in her home. Death was attributed to heart disease. Mrs. Olds was born in St. Clair, July 21, 1899, daughter of the late William and Harriet Mitchell. Mr. Olds died three years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Harriet Mackley, at home. Remains are in the L. C. Friederichs and Son funeral home, St. Clair, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Ernest Chase, pastor of the Sparlingville community Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, East China Township."

"St. Clair - James R. Oles, 20, of 722 Waterloo St., died Thursday in Harper Hospital, Detroit after a six month illness. He was born June 26, 1957, in St. Clair. Mr. Oles was a June 8, 1975, graduate of St. Clair High School. He was employed by Ford Tractor Plant, Romeo, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Oles, St. Clair; two brothers, Paul and Edward Oles, both of St. Clair; five sisters, Janet, Betty, Cindy, Patty, and Angie Oles, all of St. Clair; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Oles, Smiths Creek, and Mrs. Mamie Trumble, St. Clair. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Co9lonial Funeral Home, Jay Street Chapel and at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. the Rev. Karl Hubble, pastor, will officiate. "WIDOW OF TOOL INVENTOR DIES IN HOME TODAY - Mrs. Anna B. Ordowski, 83, resident here 58 years, widow of John J. Ordowski, inventor of time and work saving tools for use in building the St. Clair Tunnel, died today in her home, 1213 Oak Street, after a long illness. Mrs. Ordowski was born in Danzig, Germany, Aug. 20, 1864. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and of the Christian Mothers society of the church. She is survived by six sons, Edwin B. Ordowski, William J. Ordowski, Frank A. Ordowski, Felix J. Ordowski and Otto A. Ordowski, all of Port Huron; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Fiedler, Mrs. Cecil W. Netter and Mrs. Eugene A. Cote, all of Port Huron, and Mrs. George Mast, Chicago, 28 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. "St. Clair - Mrs. Louisa Osborne, 83, of 6644 Division road, died Monday in a Port Huron nursing home after a short illness. She was born Sept. 24, 1874, in china Township, the daughter of the late Casper and Catherine Stegherr. She and Benton Osborne were married Oct. 30, 1907. He ided in 1935. She is survived by a son, John Osborne, St. Clair, and a brother, Charles Stegherr, Marine City. The remains are in the Memorial Chapel funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Frank Hartley, pastor of First Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery."

Margaret I. Osborne
"Lexington - Margaret I. Osborne, 78, of Lexington, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999 in Burtchville Twp. as the result of an auto accident. She was born Dec. 22, 1920 in Laingsburg, MI. She married Claude L. Osborne on Feb. 17, 1940 in Detroit. He died March 24, 1982. Mrs. Osborne loved quitting, playing cards, gardening, traveling, watching the Detroit Tigers, bowling and ice skating. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge #495, Clawson and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by her daughters, Gayle Osborne of Lexington, Ellen Hurtt of Macomb, and Janice (Chuck) Sullivan of Chesterfield Twp.; her brother, Gib (Mary) Jones of Alma; her grandchildren, Dianne (fiance Leon) Kinney, David Alderson, Leslie (Kevin) Ayers, Brian Hurtt, Jennifer Sullivan and Michael Sullivan; and her great-grandchildren, Matthew Kinney, Joel Kinney, Ashley Ayers, Andrew Ayers and Adam Ayers. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 1999 in the Diener Funeral Home, 48271 Van Dyke, Utica. The Rev. Christopher D. Cowdin will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery. Visiting hours are 5 to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday. An Eastern Star Service will be 7:30 p.m. Sunday."

John Osterhous
"Died, at Grand Haven, March 4, at 8:40 p.m. at the home of his sister Mrs. Solms, John Osterhous, aged 48 years 2 months and 11 days. He leaves four children, an aged father, four sisters and one brother, besides hosts of friends. Mr. Osterhous for many years held an important position in the lumber business of Sherman Boyce. He was a member of the order of Maccabees. After the funeral at Grand Haven, the remains were taken to Stanton and laid to rest by the side of his wife, who died just five years ago. She was Ida M., eldest daughter of J. A. and Fannie E. Cumings who will be remembered by all the old residents of St. Clair. Mr. Osterhous was an indulgent father, a kind husband and a warm friend."
