Melvin G. Conklin  Columbus Township-

Melvin G. Conklin, 75 of 7546 Rattle Run Road, died unexpectedly Sunday in his home, apparently from a heart attack.  He was born Feb. 21, 1903, in Columbus  Township, and was a lifelong area resident.  He married Gladys Ehrstine in 1923, in Smiths Creek.  Mr. Conklin was a charter member of the Richmond Sportsman's Club.
He is survived by his wife, two sona, Jack G. and Melvin G. Jr., brother, Gordon, all of Richmond;  a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Yeit, St. Clair; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were to be at 11 a.m. today in the Hensch Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, Richmond.  The Rev. Wilbur Robinson of Jehovah's Witnesses of St. Clair was to officiate.  Burial will be in the Kittridge Cemetery, Columbus Township.

She was born Dec. 13, 1906, in Columbus, Ohio and had been an area resident for 70 years.  She is survived by one son, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hensch Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Richmond. Memorials may be made to the Jehovah's Witnesses, 6177 Fred Moore Highway, St. Clair.
