Funeral services for Joseph Egan, 79, of Yeager road, Smiths Creek, who died Wednesday in Port Huron Hospital of injuries suffered when he was dragged by a team of horses on his farm Aug 2 were held today in St. Joseph's Catholic church.  Rev. S. J. Dziatkiewicz, pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic church, Smiths Creek officiated.  Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Martin J. Egan, Laurence E. Egan, Patrick H. Egan, Ned A Egan, Ray P. Egan and Richard B. Egan all grandsons of Mr. Egan were pallbearers.

He is survived by three sons, Earl J. Egan and William D. Egan both of Smiths Creek, and John A. Eagan St. Clair, three sisters Mrs. Thomas Hockey, Detroit, Mrs. Edward Burke and Mrs. Owen Ryan, both of Smiths Creek, and 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
