Samuel L. Nestell, 72, a resident of Fort Gratiot township 30 years, was found dead in bed in his home Sunday morning on the Bruce Simpson farm, State road, by Mr. Simpson.
Mr. Nestell, who was born in Wales township, June 30, 1864, was last seen alive by Mr. Simpson Saturday night after he finished cutting hay on the farm.
Coroner Arthur E. Smith, who investigated with Undersheriff Howard Lohr and Deputy Sheriff Frank McKenzie, said death was due to heart disease.
He is survived by five sons, Huriel and Myron Nestell, residence unknown, and Richard, Harvey and Gustave Nestell, all of Port Huron: three daughters, Mrs. John Hall, Port Huron; Mrs. Clara Forester, Algonac, and Miss Marion Nestell, residence unknown: three brothers, Dell Nestell, Wales township; William Nestell, Florida, and Rhuen Nestell, Detroit, and four grandchildren.
The remains are in the Arthur E. Smith funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Thursday. Rev. James Franklin, pastor of Goodells Methodist Protestant church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
(Note: in the obituary it says Rhuen Nestell...Rhuen would have been a nick-name as his real name was Aruna Harvey Nestell)
