Henry C. Schnoor New Baltimore -- With the municipal flag at half-staff, the city is in official mourning for a native son and longtime community official and leader, Henry C. Schnoor, age 75 who died yesterday.

Mr. Schnoor died following an illness at his home, 608 East Main Street. At the time of his death, Mr. Schnoor had been a councilman since 1936 and was also still serving on the school board of which he had been a trustee for 30 years. He was active in many city affairs, and was formerly connected with the general store business.

Mr. Schnoor was a village clerk for more that a decade before the city was incorporated. The deceased official is survived by his widow, Edna, and the following sons and daughters: Dorothy, Roland, Grant and Charles of New Baltimore. Betty Schnoor and Mrs.Ogle, of Detroit, and three sisters, Miss Clara Schnoor of New Baltimore; Mrs. Bessie Marshall of Detroit, and Mrs. Harriet Carson of Avon, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held at the Christie Funeral Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Harold Iske officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Members of the city council will act as pallbearers.
